I have finally updated my phone. I will now have the magnetic features. Found this mount on Amazon. It attaches directly to the drivers side hand grip by removing two screws and replacing with longer ones. I prefer to keep my centre upper dash clear. The magnetic mount that goes into the transmission console via build plate in front of the shifter is a no go for me as my ride is a manual which it does not fit with.
Anyone do this? Thoughts / comments?

That looks like a good option. I went with the Tackform on the center grab handle. It is a phone mount but I use it as a GMRS mic holder. Since I have Apple car play I just keep my phone in my pocket.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

That looks good and functional. I have the Ford FITS accessorie system installed on the centre grip. It has a cup holder and small storage boxes that I could use when not using cup holder to store a phone. However I prefer a mount so my phone always goes in the same place. Like you I use Apple Car Play so I just need a good mounting location. Being on the driver’s side hand grip puts it out of the way which for my needs works.

She was easy to install. Only negative is the hole at the top. You have the option of mounting the mag holder either where I did or up higher in that hole. You don’t see it when the phone is in place. For now I have placed a King of Hammers sticker over it.
The phone mount works great. The Mag safe hangs on tight to the phone with no issues. I love the location of my phone here.

I've been paranoid about that mounting location. I've been imagining hitting some hard bumps and the magnet or holder letting my phone fly out the window.

I understand your concerns. I had them too. Should not happen. Mag Safe is…..Mag Safe. You have to give it a could pull to remove it.

Do you have a link to where you purchased this mount? I like the look and placement and am thankful for the confirmation that it doesn’t dismount upon rough road conditions. Thanks for the pics.

I have a similar one from Mabett. You can search "Mabett Magnetic Phone Holder for Ford Bronco" on Amazon. I actually took it off and put a cup holder there recently. If you're in the San Diego area you can have mine.

Yep. Amazon is where I got it. Happy to report I am still very happy with the mount and no issues.

Happy to report after three weeks of use no issues. Phone stays securely in place and I like the location. Am very happy.
Thank you to Bronco Nation. I bought this BN pin from them and it looks great. This mod is now complete.

I would personally have a difficult time with my phone on the left. I have been really happy with bulletpoint, and they just redid their Rubigrid at the end of last month, which improved the rigidity of their grid holder. Lots of grid space for other accessories, and cam!
