Rust Spots on Doors?

Hi all, my bronco is about two years old. As you can see from the pictures, I baby it. Not a single nick or scratch on the whole thing (at least outside, ha ha).

Today while washing it, I noticed rust on the doors. It seems to be only on the doors nowhere else. Has anyone experienced this yet? I wanna start here before bringing it to my dealer.

Any information or feedback would be great, thank you. See Photos.

Doors are aluminum so... would be extremely odd for them to rust given that aluminum doesn't rust.

My guess something iron got kicked up into the door, embedded itself in the clear coat, and now it's rusting out.

I would buy a clay bar and some iron remover from Adam's Polishes, Chemical Guys, etc. (many different car detailing companies sell it), and then go to work getting that paint decontaminated. 👍

Thanks for the feedback. That does make things interesting. It's really weird It's on both sides. I ask to get my oil changed next week. I'm gonna ask my dealer about it and see what they say. Appreciate the reply.

I've had it on both my Broncos; looked like I ran over a can of SpaghettiOs on my Oxford White. I didn't attempt to clean but @RagnarKon listed what my dealer's body shop also suggested.

Sounds like what is called “rail dust” if a vehicle is transported by rail the steel wheels and steel track of the train kick up metal dust and that does get imbedded into the paint. This should have been cleaned by the dealerships prep company, sounds like they missed the doors. As @RagnarKon suggested clay bar and rust remover will be your friend here. Good luck.

I thought I had rust spots as well but it is not from the Bronco itself. I was told by another white vehicle owner that it is likely from the car wash water/pipes. It is generally only noticeable on white vehicles. Use the brand of your choice, above mentioned, iron remover.

Are you sure that's not a 74 pinto?
